In the period September to December 2023, the leased premises will undergo a major refurbishment, including the complete renewal of the facade and measures to improve the sustainability of the unit. Nike is expected to open its doors to shoppers in the spring of 2024.
Lijnbaan 111 is part of the Bouwinvest Retail Fund’s complex of over 9,000 m2 of stores, centrally located in Rotterdam’s core shopping area. Well-known tenants include Levi's, Both, Intertoys, Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall&Gall.
“We are very pleased to welcome such a notable brand to Lijnbaan with the arrival of Nike”, says Collin Boelhouwer, Director Dutch Retail Investments. “Following the thorough renovation of the unit, in line with our sustainability drive, Nike will be able to make future-proof use of this retail unit in Rotterdam.”
“This NIKE store will be operated by Fox/Retailors, a leading franchise partner of Nike in 17 countries in Europe, North America and the Middle East. This location will add an important flagship to the NIKE Benelux portfolio, on Rotterdam’s most iconic shopping street”, says Barbara Somogyiova, CCO Retailors Europe at FOX Group.
Bouwinvest was advised on the deal by City Real Estate. Jacobs van der Meij Real Estate acted on behalf of Nike.
