Bouwinvest Retail Fund acquires retail property in prime location in Almere city centre
October 8, 2026
The Bouwinvest Dutch Institutional Retail Fund has acquired a retail property at Stationsstraat 54-58 in the centre of Almere. The property comprises approximately 4,100 m² of lettable floor area and is fully let to international retail brands C&A, JD Sports and Courir.
The property is located in the core shopping area of Almere Centrum, directly adjacent to Almere Centraal station. With its combination of high footfall, excellent accessibility and a growing catchment area, this location is one of the city's most important retail locations. Almere is one of the fastest-growing cities in the Netherlands and is part of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
The building was originally completed in 1988 and underwent a major renovation in 2016. All let units have an A++ energy label and the property holds a BREEAM In-Use Good certification.
Collin Boelhouwer, Fund Manager at Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors: "With this acquisition, we are adding a high-quality retail asset in a strong inner-city location. The property fits well with our strategy of investing in retail destinations with stable rental income and long-term value for our investors. The combination of the location right next to the station, the presence of strong international retailers and Almere's growth prospects makes this an attractive addition to the portfolio."
The retail property consists of three stores operated by C&A, JD Sports and Courir. Thanks to its location in the heart of Almere Centrum, the property benefits from a broad regional catchment area and a strong position within the Dutch retail landscape.
The transaction further strengthens the fund's exposure to Experience locations and is in line with the fund's objective of investing in high-quality retail locations that are attractive to both retailers and consumers.
Purchaser was legally advised by N/P Notarissen in connection with the transaction. The seller was commercially advised by Brickstone and received legal counsel from Greenberg Traurig.
