Bouwinvest Hotel Fund once again GRESB Global Sector Leader
October 27, 2026
The Bouwinvest Dutch Institutional Hotel Fund has been named Global Sector Leader in the GRESB Real Estate Standing Investment Assessment 2026. The fund also achieved Regional Sector Leader status in Europe. The awards were granted in both the overall and the non-listed category.
With these results, the Bouwinvest Hotel Fund once again ranks among the best-performing hotel real estate funds worldwide in terms of sustainability. GRESB awards Sector Leader status to the highest-scoring participants within a sector and region, as well as to participants finishing within one point of the highest score. The fund was recognised as Global Sector Leader, Global Sector Leader – Non-listed, Regional Sector Leader and Regional Sector Leader – Non-listed in the Hotel category.
The annual GRESB Real Estate Assessment is regarded worldwide as a leading benchmark for the sustainability performance of real estate funds and portfolios. Institutional investors use the assessment to evaluate and compare the ESG performance of real estate investments. It covers areas including governance, risk management, energy performance, emissions reduction, stakeholder engagement and the implementation of sustainability policy.
The results reflect Bouwinvest's broader approach, in which ESG considerations are an integral part of both investment decision-making and the asset management of its real estate portfolios. To this end, Bouwinvest works closely with tenants, property managers and other partners to make its real estate future-proof and further achieve its sustainability targets.
"Being recognised once again as Global Sector Leader is a strong confirmation of our sustainable approach. Together with our hotel partners, we are continuously working to improve the ESG performance of the portfolio and to create lasting value," says Bas Jochims, Fund Manager at Bouwinvest.
This recognition underlines the ongoing commitment of Bouwinvest and its partners to embedding sustainability in the day-to-day management and development of the portfolio. In doing so, the fund builds on previous strong results in the GRESB benchmark and its position as a frontrunner in sustainable hotel real estate.
